House Rules

Dear Holiday Guests,

Our holiday apartment is meant to be a second home for you, where you can feel comfortable and relax. We have put a lot of effort into furnishing it and hope that you will find everything you need. The following house rules are intended to help ensure a harmonious stay. Additionally, we have established some rules that we hope you will understand. By treating the apartment properly, you help us continue to provide satisfactory accommodations for you and other guests in the future.

General
If you find anything missing or need assistance, please feel free to contact us. All items in the holiday apartment or house, as well as on the balcony or terrace, may and should be used by the guests. Please handle all furnishings and inventory with care and treat the rental property with respect. Please ensure that your fellow travelers also comply with the rental conditions. Furniture should not be taken out of the apartment; please use only the furniture provided in the yard or on the balcony.

Kitchen
Please handle the kitchen equipment and appliances with care. Only place clean and dry dishes, pots, and cutlery in the cupboards. Do not place hot pots and other hot items on tables or countertops without using a trivet. Always use a cutting board as a base for cutting. Please leave the interior of the oven and microwave clean.

Damages
No one intentionally damages items, but it can happen that something breaks. We would appreciate it if you inform us of any damage so that we do not find it during the final cleaning after your departure. The tenant is liable for damages up to the amount of the replacement costs.

Ventilation
To prevent mold formation, please ventilate the rooms adequately, at least once a day for 5-10 minutes, especially after showering.

SUMMER STORM (NEVERA), NORTHEAST STORM (BURA)

The Velebit Channel has unique wind conditions. Of all the winds in the channel, the Bura is a particularly powerful force of nature. Bura (a wind blowing directly from the mountains) and Nevera (a summer thunderstorm) can cause significant damage (the roof of House Mare was uncovered in 1985 due to a balcony door not being closed). Therefore, please close windows and balcony doors when you are not in the apartment for an extended period. In the event of strong winds, we will enter the apartment to close the windows and balcony doors as a precaution.

Also, all windows and shutters must be closed when leaving the apartment to prevent possible damage from storms or break-ins.

Duty of Care
We ask our guests to treat the rental property with care and ensure that fellow travelers and family members comply with the rental conditions. The front door should always be closed and locked with a key when leaving the house. Similarly, all windows must be closed when leaving the apartment to prevent possible damage from storms or break-ins. Water and electricity resources should be used sparingly.

Disposal
Waste is separated into paper and residual waste. Appropriate containers are available on the property. Trash cans and cosmetic bins in the bathroom should only be used with trash bags, which should be sealed and disposed of in the residual waste bin. Do not dispose of waste, food scraps, harmful liquids, or similar items in the kitchen sink, toilets, washbasins, or shower! Avoid anything that can cause blockages in the pipes (no hygiene products in the toilet).

Cleaning
If an accident (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or work surfaces, etc.) occurs, please clean it up immediately. We ask that you leave the holiday apartment swept clean upon departure and return all used dishes clean to the cupboards.

Quiet Hours
In the interest of good neighborly relations, we ask that you observe the public quiet hours such as midday, night, and Sunday rest. Even in the holiday apartment itself, quiet should be maintained between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM out of consideration.

INTERNET/WLAN
A wireless internet connection (WLAN) is included in the price of the holiday apartment/house. The WiFi access passwords you will find under www.haus-toni.eu/wifi_ . The use of the internet with your own WLAN-enabled device (notebook, PDA, smartphone, etc.) via the WLAN connection is free of charge for the tenant. You use the internet at your own risk, and the landlord excludes any liability in connection with the tenant’s internet use. Additional WLAN usage rules must be observed for internet access. Please understand that we must protect ourselves against misuse with your signature.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the holiday apartment/house. Please leave the holiday apartment/house to smoke. Dispose of fully cooled cigarette butts in the trash can.

Pets
Bringing pets is not allowed. Bringing pets is allowed with prior agreement with the landlords.

Parking
We provide our guests with a designated parking space near our apartment. Please park your car there after unloading your luggage.

RIGHT OF ACCESS
For urgent repairs, it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the holiday apartment without the guest’s knowledge.

KEYS
Please never hand over the keys. A loss of keys must be reported immediately, and the guest is liable up to the amount of the replacement costs.

LIABILITY
The landlord is not liable for the guest’s valuables.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrival is by arrangement. On the day of departure, we ask our guests to vacate the holiday apartment/house by 11:00 AM at the latest. Upon departure, the holiday apartment/house should look as it did upon your arrival. By booking the holiday apartment, we assume that the house rules are accepted.
