VEHICLE DOCUMENTS

For entry into Croatia, you need your driver’s license, vehicle registration document, and the green insurance card for the vehicle.

SPEED LIMITS

in built-up areas 50 km/h
on rural roads 90 km/h
on expressways 110 km/h
on highways 130 km/h
Cars with trailers 80 km/h
Buses and buses with lightweight trailers 80 km/h

LIGHTS

Driving with lights on during the day and at night is mandatory.
Using a mobile phone while driving is not allowed.
Permissible blood alcohol concentration: 0.0 per mille.
Wearing seat belts is mandatory.

GAS STATIONS

Gas stations are open daily from 7 am to 7 pm or 8 pm; in the summer season until 10 pm. Serviceable gas stations in larger cities and along major travel routes are open 24/7. Gas stations sell: Eurosuper 95, Super 95, Super 98, Super plus 98, Euro Diesel, and Diesel. Larger cities also offer gas.

ARRIVAL BY PLANE

Zadar Airport (near Zemunik) 29km – approx. 30 minutes. Individual pick-up/drop-off service to/from Zadar is also available by arrangement. Split Airport 133 km – approx. 1 hour and 25 minutes.

ARRIVAL BY TRAIN OR BUS

There are several providers offering affordable bus trips to Croatia, such as Flixbus or Eurobus. From Zadar Bus Station, it’s 24 km (approx. 30 minutes) by local bus to the holiday destination Ražanac.
